Lakewide Action and Management Plans (LAMPs)
The Lakewide Action and Management Plans (LAMPs), formerly Lakewide Management Plans, are action-based documents that address the management challenges and strategies of each Great Lake. These binational documents are developed and assessed under Annex 2 (Lakewide Management) of the Great Lakes Executive Committee and are jointly managed by staff from Environment Canada and US EPA.
Each Great Lake has its own LAMP that is renewed every five years. During the renewal process, stakeholders may submit comments on the LAMP to Environment Canada and/or US EPA. The schedule for renewal is outlined below and the most recent LAMP reports for each lake are linked.
- 2015: Lake Superior
- 2016: Lake Huron
- 2017: Lake Ontario
- 2018: Lake Erie
- 2019: Lake Michigan
In December 2015, the Cities Initiative submitted comments on the 2015 Lake Superior LAMP.
