Marina development is big, big money. Each year, recreational boating generates over US$230 billion and supports over 800,000 jobs across the U.S. and Canada. Marinas are everywhere in the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence River region, and are often the keystones of their local economies. Marina construction and operation can lead to large, long-term increases in job growth, tax revenue, labor income, and industry output. Join us for a webinar (jointly hosted by the Cities Initiative and Geosyntec Consultants) exploring the different economic models you can use to gauge the potential effects of marina development on your community.
